Having trouble accessing electronic databases?

Your browser settings (for example, cookies, temporary files) may be blocking your access.

Internet Explorer 6+: Go to Tools> Internet Options> Delete Cookies / Delete Files.  After taking these steps, be sure to close your browser and restart for the new settings to take effect.

Netscape 7+: Go to Tools> Cookie Manager> Manage Stored Cookies. From here you can delete cookies (for example, those associated with grolier.com). Then go to Edit> Preferences> Advanced> Cache> Clear Cache. After taking these steps, be sure to close your browser and restart for the new settings to take effect.

It may also be helpful to modify your security settings to allow third-party cookies, or override the settings for the individual websites you are trying to access.

Internet Explorer 6+: Go to Tools> Internet Options> Privacy. From here you can choose a different overall security setting, or specify websites that you would like to exempt from your overall settings. To do this, click “Edit” and then choose to “Allow” cookies from specific domains (for example, grolier.com). Be sure to close your browser and restart for the new settings to take effect.

Netscape: Go to Edit> Preferences> Privacy & Security> Cookies. Be sure to close your browser and restart for the new settings to take effect.

A firewall or other third-party security software may block the referring URL, Java script or active script from running. Adjust the security settings on any firewall or real-time virus-scanning software. For specific instructions, please refer to documentation the software vendor has provided.
