New catalogue offers greater user engagement
The current OPL catalogue is being replaced with an enhanced catalogue and account management site powered by BiblioCommons.
Here are some of the features the new catalogue.
- Create your own user name: Create a shorter, memorable, anonymous users name.
- Search relevancy: Search results are now sorted by relevance and there are many limits available.
- Social networking: Share your opinions, lists and thoughts with other users and find others with similar interests and tastes.
- Explore with ease: Browse bestsellers, new additions to the collection, award winners or materials that are generating a lot of interest.
- Virtual browsing: You are not limited to just what is shelved at your local branch. You can view all the contents of all OPL locations.
- Create lists: Keep track of what you want to read, listen to and watch. Share your lists, keep them to yourself or follow others.
- Activity history: Keep track of all your activity at a single location that is searchable and that you can sort. View your returned items for up to three months.
