Death of Gatineau author Michel Lavoie

It is with sadness that we have learned of Gatineau author and editor Michel Lavoie’s death this weekend after a long illness. Mr. Lavoie was a well-liked writer of novels for children, teen and adults, and also the director of French publisher Vent d’Ouest. He was a judge for OPL’s “Awesome Authors” writing contest from 2007 to 2015, and one last time in 2018.
