We have planned a nice surprise to celebrate Francophonie Month, a virtual show with Ariane DesLions. On March 20 at 3:30 pm, join Ariane and her fabulous sound machine to discover stories in song that will have the whole family dancing!
At the Ottawa Public Library, we celebrate the Francophonie every month of the year with great programs! For March, be sure to join us for Croisée des mots with Soufiane Chakkouche on March 17 at 6:00 pm and a two-part creative writing workshop with Martine Batanian, the first part on March 27 at 1:30 pm. On March 30, at 7 pm, participate in Our Stories: Indigenous Book Club featuring Josephine Bacon. In April, our popular Tech café series will offer four sessions in French. You can visit our YouTube channel to discover youth and adult programs that have been recorded, including the Be Active at Home series. Be sure to check out our Facebook page where you will find more programs in the video section.
Make yourself comfortable and take advantage of our online resources in French. Discover Toutapprendre, which allows you to learn about sewing, singing, programming, and more, or explore your ancestors in your pajamas with Généalogie Québec. Your OPL card also gives you access to French ebooks, digital audiobooks, animated children's books, online magazines, newspapers, and more.
To discover other French activities in Ottawa and elsewhere, visit the Rendez-vous de la Francophonie website: https://rvf.ca/en.
