Time to Read a BIG Book!

Do you find yourself with a lot of time on your hands to embark on a long reading journey? Or maybe you need an escape far, far away into another world? We’ve got you covered, with these lists of big books that we have available in electronic format :

Each of those books are over 500 pages in their print version and have been read and granted a seal of approval by at least one staff of our Ottawa Public Library team.

Here are books that have attracted a lot of attention in past years such as The Luminaries, A Discovery of Witches or Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell; books that have been made into movies or TV shows, such as Gone With The Wind, Outlander or Pillars of the Earth; books with slow-to-unfold mysteries like By Gaslight and Shadow of the Wind; and unforgettable Fantasy and Sci-fi titles like Seveneves, The Mists of Avalon, or Dune. And let’s not forget those classics you’ll be proud to finally be able to brag about reading, such as Anna Karenina or The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
