Imagine your April Break!

April break program with Imagine as the theme. The image features children of different ethnicities in a circle surrounded by creative activities.

Mar 17, 2021

April Break is just around the corner! And we are offering virtual, fun, educational, and free programs for children ages 4 to 12 from April 12 to April 17.

This year’s April Break theme is Imagine. We are inviting children to join us for an April Break bursting with creativity where they can let their imagination run wild. The week will be filled with yoga and dance, arts and crafts, writing and reading, laughter, beautiful encounters, and magical moments.

We will also have live performances every day at 3:30 pm. Will Stroet will kick-off our daily concert series on Monday, followed by local favorites Rag and Bone Puppet Theatre on Tuesday, and Monkey Rock Music will rock out with you on Wednesday. And we are delighted to host Rabbit and Bear Paws on Thursday, and Tribal Vision Dance on Friday. To end on a high note, Sébastien Lemay will tell us magical tales (French only) on Saturday. There won’t be a dull moment!

Keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter to discover activities you can do at home, and don’t forget to look at our YouTube Channel where you will find STEM and crafts ideas. You can find the complete list of April Break programs and special guests here.

Re: April Break

Hi MannyMolina, That’s amazing! The dance and yoga classes are drop-in. You don’t need to register; you will find the link in the event description. We have two puppet shows, Rag and Bone on Tuesday and Rabbit and Bear on Thursday. Both will be live on the OPL Facebook page, or you can register and receive a zoom link by email. You can find the full schedule on the April Break webpage: https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/kid-zone/april-break.
