The Art of the Audition with a Company of Fools

Teen Staycation

Interested in learning more about theatre? Whether you just want to get your feet wet or are thinking about going to theatre school, these workshops have something for everyone!

The second installment in our workshop series is focused on preparing for an audition. Through a series of exercises focused on a pre-selected piece and a cold reading, you will build a foundation of strong audition techniques. Participants will also learn about what takes place in auditions and tips for choosing their own monologues.

Each session will conclude with a brief interview/Q&A with an actor who you may recognize from Ottawa’s professional stages!

For ages 13-18. Registrants will receive an additional email with the Zoom link ahead of the program.

Required material:  A selection of monologues will be sent to registrants ahead of time and you will be asked to choose a monologue that you want to work on during the workshop.
