Contactless services inside branches – effective June 14


As of June 14, 2021, there will be contactless services inside most branches, with capacity limits in place. This means:

  • Holds can be picked up on shelves and checked out at self-checkout stations.
  • Borrowed items can be returned via book drops anytime.
  • Access to PCs, Chromebooks, and printing, where these are available.
  • Hours of operation remain the same, except at Osgoode.
  • Mask-wearing remains mandatory inside, and outside in line.

Mindfulness for Teens / Pleine conscience pour les ados


Learn about mindfulness & mindful meditation. Explore evidence based strategies that will improve your focus, attention, and your relationship with emotions like anxiety, stress, anger and fear.  For ages 12-18.

Découvre la pleine conscience et la méditation attentive. Explore des stratégies éprouvées qui t'aideront à améliorer ta concentration, ton attention et ta relation avec des émotions comme l'anxiété, le stress, la colère et la peur. L’atelier sera en anglais, mais tu pourras poser des questions en français.


This free workshop will be run by Rebekka Wallace Roy, Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist, of Be Brave, Be Kind, Be Present. The workshop is offered by Ottawa Public Library for Mental Health Week. 

Cet atelier gratuit est dirigé par Rebekka Wallace Roy de Be Brave, Be Kind, Be Present. Rebekka est travailleuse sociale agréée et une psychothérapeute passionnée par la pleine conscience. Cet atelier est offert par la Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa pendant la Semaine de la santé mentale.
