French literature is full of treasures, peculiarities and surprises that you will enjoy discovering on February 17 and 18. Join us for interesting and captivating discussions on francophone literature at La Croisée des mots with Mishka Lavigne and at the Black History Month panel  with the topic: "Perspectives sur la littérature afro-canadienne et francophone”. Here is an incredible opportunity for Francophones, Francophiles, and fans of Franco-Ontarian literature to meet talented francophone authors.

  • On February 17 at 6 pm, join us for Croisée des mots with Mishka Lavigne — Discover the multiple talents of this author, screenwriter and literary translator whose plays have been produced in Canada, the United States, Australia, France, Germany and Switzerland. Her play Havre won the Governor General's Literary Award for the Francophone Theatre category in 2019. The author will also take the opportunity to speak a little more about her works, aspirations, inspiration and writing projects.
  • On February 18 at 7 pm, join us for the Black History Month French panel: “Perspectives sur la littérature afro-canadienne et francophone”.  As part of the Black History Month celebration, OPL invited Didier Leclair, Guy Bélizaire and Gabriel Osson to share their views on Afro-Canadian and Francophone literature.  With Gabriel Osson as moderator, these discussions will surely capture your attention and guide you onto paths for further reflection.
