Virtual Knitting Group

Mar 24, 2020

Eventhough the Osgoode Learn-to-Knit Afternoon Drop-in and evening Fibre Craft groups are cancelled right now, we can still knit together!  Here are a couple of projects you can do at home:

1) Quarantine Knitting with ARNE & CARLOS

Scandinavian designers and textile artists, Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrison, have set up a daily quarantine knitting program.  Go to their website for Youtube videos and blogs: https://arnecarlos.com/

Patterns can be found on their blog site:  https://arnecarlos.com/the-arne-carlos-quarantine-knit-along-pattern/

2) AIDS Committee of Ottawa Red Scarf Project

If you have red yarn at home, start knitting a scarf for the AIDS Committee of Ottawa Red Scarf project. Scarves need to be 6”x60” in any pattern of your choice. Check out the scarves we made last year: https://biblioottawalibrary.ca/en/blogs/red-scarf-project-opl

A community that knits together (while isolated at home), stays together!
